The Seed Project began with a simple idea — to collect native seeds and propagate them, nurturing the growth of more native species. But over time, it became more than just that. It grew into a quiet celebration of the astonishing variety of forms, pods, and structures in which seeds are held — each one a marvel of design and adaptation.
Some seeds float, others fly. Some cling to fur, some get carried by the wind with delicate wings or strands. There are pods that burst open with a dramatic crack, and fruits so delicious that animals (including us) become agents of their spread. Legumes that store life in elegant symmetry, and berries that tempt with color and taste.
Each tree, each seed pod, and every single seed carries within it a story — of evolution, of survival, of movement, of relationships built over millennia. The Seed Project is about honoring those stories, and about planting the future, one seed at a time.
